The European launch of the Redmi Note 17 series is becoming increasingly tangible and imminent, and this time an Italian online store has had a hand in it.
The retailer unveiled the full specifications of the entry-level model of the lineup, including images showing the design and color options, and a comprehensive overview of the prices. Clearly we are dealing with a leak, but it could prove to be quite reliable.
The device in question is the Redmi Note 17 4G, the starting point for those looking at the new mid-range family. The phone features a design identical to its 5G counterpart, with the same colors (purple, black and aqua green) and a square camera module with rounded corners.
The smartphone features a flat display with a central punch-hole for the selfie camera, an AMOLED 6.83″ diagonal panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The Corning panel seems a bit out of place, definitely too premium for a 4G model (but we’re ready to revise our view at the time of official confirmation).
Among other specs are the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chipset, 7,700 mAh battery with 45W charging, a 50 MP camera, an NFC chip and Bluetooth 6.0. The product sheet reveals eSIM support, but we also reserve the right to await Xiaomi’s confirmation.
According to the store, the 4G device will be priced at €243.9 and €291.9, respectively for the 4/128 GB and 6/256 GB variants. These figures are probably indicative or subject to rounding.
