Ottocast brings Play2Video X and U2Air Edge to Italy: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto with onboard streaming

Ottocast has launched two new devices designed for in-car infotainment: Play2Video X and U2Air Edge. Both devices are already available on the official site, with availability on Amazon expected soon, and they are compatible with vehicles already equipped with wired CarPlay or Android Auto, as well as with iOS 10 or later and Android 11 or later smartphones. For the launch, Ottocast is offering discounts up to 50% off the list prices on both products.

Ottocast U2Air Edge: the wireless adapter for €99, on sale at nearly half price

U2Air Edge is a plug-and-play adapter that turns the car’s wired CarPlay or Android Auto connection into wireless, automatically reconnecting every time you get in. The device includes a physical button that allows you to instantly switch between two saved smartphones, designed for families who share the same car, and keeps the vehicle’s original controls and buttons active on supported models.

From a technical standpoint, U2Air Edge is equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 connectivity and Bluetooth 5.4, supports firmware updates via FOTA, and enables access to the ChatGPT and Gemini assistants directly through CarPlay or Android Auto. The launch price (with a 43% discount) is 55,99€.

Play2Video X: the 199€ entertainment hub, now on launch offer

Play2Video X converts the in-car display into a true entertainment hub when the car is stationary, with five preinstalled streaming apps and expandable via a dedicated hub. As soon as driving resumes, the device automatically returns to CarPlay or wireless Android Auto mode, without requiring manual steps.

Play2Video X shares with U2Air Edge the same connectivity platform, with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4 and FOTA updates, and is housed in a compact design with an IML finish. The list price is €199, but it is offered as a launch offer at half price: with the 50% discount the final price is €99.99.
