Per quanto riguarda la nuova fotocamera di iQOO 16, il modulo avrebbe una forma quadrata con angoli molto arrotondati, che ospiterebbe tre sensori da 50 MP disposti in un layout ‘connected’ layout. The main sensor would be 1/1.3" with an aperture of f/1.68, paired with an ultra-wide and a periscope telephoto lens, both 50 MP.

The Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station also describes a particular treatment on the module’s outer frame and on the back shell, obtained with a new manufacturing process that would help give the phone a more futuristic look.

Regarding the other expected specifications for the iQOO 16, the new flagship should offer a display Samsung flat 6.85" with a resolution 2K and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, the processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, a battery of 8,500 mAh with wired charging of 100W and wireless charging.

Among other features there would be a dedicated chip for display management, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a USB 3.2 port, dual speakers and IP68/IP69 certification for water and dust resistance.

Parallel to the camera leak, the Product Manager of the iQOO flagship series, Wang Ken, has revealed the arrival of a compact tablet. Probable it would be the device with model number iPA2691, which recently obtained SRRC certification in China.

According to the rumors so far, the tablet would mount a chipset from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series, an active cooling system with an integrated fan, Wi-Fi-only connectivity, an OLED display with slim bezels and a high refresh rate. All features that point more to a gaming tablet than to a classic model.

According to the rumors, the company is preparing a new launch event in China that should include, in addition to iQOO 16, iQOO Neo 12 and the unnamed compact tablet. However, there is no precise date yet, but it is likely the unveiling will take place in September/October.
