While Lei Jun’s company has not yet officially confirmed the new generation of tablets, early information about Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is starting to circulate thanks to the usual insider Digital Chat Station, historically one of the most reliable sources when it comes to the Chinese brand.
Rumors shared on Weibo outline a tablet that would aim to grow on almost all fronts compared to the model that precedes it, from the display to the battery and up to the processor.
Di certo si tratta di indiscrezioni gradite, visto che il modello base potrebbe essere a simple rebrand of the current Pad 8. Compared to Pad 9 standard, the Pro big brother should introduce several novelties.
The most evident leap would concern the display, which would go from the 11.2″ of Pad 8 Pro to an LCD panel of 12.5″ with a resolution of 3.2K and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Under the hood, the tablet would mount the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3 nm chip with eight-core CPU Oryon and Adreno 829 GPU.
In terms of autonomy, the battery would rise from 9,200 to 11,000 mAh, an increase of about 20% that should translate into noticeably longer runtime than the previous model. Fast charging would remain unchanged at 67W wired.
The leak does not yet report a launch date. However, recently details have emerged about the alleged Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, due to launch in September with the new XRING O3 SoC on board.
