Nothing aims to double the number of smartphones in 2027: at least six models coming

Nothing is preparing for a much more aggressive 2027 on the smartphone front. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis has confirmed that the company aims to nearly double the number of models launched compared to 2026, while also expanding its presence in India and other strategic markets.

If the current plans are respected, next year Nothing could bring to market at least six smartphones – but the news won’t concern only the mobile sector.

At least six smartphones in 2027: Nothing reveals plans for the next year

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro

In 2026 Nothing launched three smartphones: Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro and Phone (4b). As anticipated at the outset, according to Evangelidis, the goal for 2027 is to reach about double that number, so we are talking about at least six models.

Unfortunately, the executive did not disclose which devices will be involved or how they will be distributed across the various price tiers, but he explained that the idea is to build a broader range.

The strategy goes hand in hand with a precise commercial objective: Nothing aims to grow sales volumes by 50% in 2027 versus 2026. The expansion of the smartphone lineup therefore becomes one of the main tools the company intends to use to sustain this growth.

This year the company did not launch a flagship, focusing mainly on the mid-range. At this point it is plausible that the new flagship model will see the light in 2027, perhaps as Phone (5) — since beyond the 4 series can be considered complete.

CMF remains a mystery

The future of CMF smartphones is even more uncertain. Nothing had already confirmed that in 2026 no new model from the brand would arrive due to rising memory prices.

According to Evangelidis, even the decision to halt this year’s project came relatively late. For 2027, the company would be evaluating several solutions to bring a new CMF smartphone back to the market, but everything will depend on the trend in memory costs.

There is therefore no definitive confirmation at the moment. The situation, however, is clearer for Nothing’s main lineup, for which expansion plans are already substantially defined.

More stores in India

Nothing also wants to grow on the retail front. After the opening of the first exclusive store in India, in Bengaluru, the company intends to open two more by the first quarter of 2027.

The cities have not yet been definitively chosen, but among the options under consideration are Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The final decision should come by the end of September.

On the international front, besides India, one of Nothing’s main objectives remains the US market. According to Evangelidis, there would be interesting opportunities in the United States, especially in certain categories, such as audio, where competition would be relatively less crowded.

Other launches are already expected in 2026

The expansion will not concern smartphones alone: Nothing’s audio business is growing very quickly, and the company has created dedicated units for audio products as well as AI-native devices.

Meanwhile, it seems the brand has not yet completed its launch calendar for this year. Evangelidis confirmed that there are planned other products in the third quarter of 2026, without, however, revealing what they will be.
