The iconic brand founded by Pete Lau and Carl Pei has ended as we knew it. The outsider brand is now part of OPPO and follows a launch strategy similar to that of other Chinese names, with devices for all price ranges.
Additionally, the company has bid farewell to Europe and the USA and now operates exclusively in India and China. Despite the end in our region, OnePlus continues its global adventure and, to prove it, here is the new budget phone N6x, affordable and stylish.
With the OnePlus N6, the brand has kicked off a new series characterized by affordable phones—with large batteries and a fresh design. The new addition to the lineup continues along this path but looks toward an even more budget-friendly price tier.
Available in Bordeaux and Light Blue, the OnePlus N6x differs from its bigger brother thanks to a completely different style. The latter features a squared island while the N6x version adopts an oval camera module (capsule-shaped), accompanied by the LED flash.
The front panel houses a 6.8″ HD LCD display with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 900 nits.
The chipset remains the Dimensity 6360, albeit in Apex version, with RAM starting from 4 GB and 64 GB of storage. Despite its budget nature, the phone is equipped with a liquid cooling system with a vapor chamber, while in terms of battery life OnePlus promises up to 2.5 days of use — thanks to a 7,000 mAh unit.
Charging stops at 15W, but there is support for 5W reverse charging and bypass technology.
Below you will find the full spec sheet: the OnePlus N6x was announced at a price of about €172 at the current exchange rate, i.e. 18,999 rupees. The higher variant 4/128 GB costs 20,999 rupees, around €191 at the exchange rate.
