The Xiaomi satellite company has announced the new POCO Pad C1, an affordable tablet that we may know well. It is, in fact, a rebrand of Redmi Pad 2 9.7, a device announced in some markets last month. A device with solid specs (we’re talking about an economical solution), at a convenient price: but under which brand will it arrive in our region?
The POCO Pad C1 specifications closely mirror those of its Redmi twin; what’s changing is part of the aesthetics, with a different logo and colorways, along with a slim line that divides the back cover into two portions.
The tablet features a 9.7″ LCD display, with 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood beats a Qualcomm heart, with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2. The battery is a 7,600 mAh unit with 18W charging, while the camera setup offers 8 MP and 5 MP sensors (rear and front, respectively).
As of now Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the price of POCO Pad C1, but it’s likely to be around €200 or less. Lei Jun’s company has announced the two twin tablets POCO and Redmi globally; as of writing there is no Italy-specific announcement yet, so it’s still to be seen which of the two brands will arrive here (if it arrives).
