After months dominated by leaks and incessant speculation, Samsung has finally decided to break the silence, kicking off official communications for its next-generation foldable smartphone (foldable smartphone).
The new device, which according to all forecasts is set to be named Galaxy Z Fold 8 (without “Wide”, despite having a new form factor), seems ready to make its global debut.
The strongest and most credible rumors point to July 22 as the date for the official Unpacked presentation event, a highly anticipated appointment for brand enthusiasts.
Instead of directly showing the design of the new device, the company chose a decidedly more intriguing route. Through its official social channels, particularly the Instagram and YouTube pages, six short teaser videos were released.
These videos never clearly frame the product, but play with shapes and proportions to hint at the coming novelties. The campaign’s central message focuses on a form factor decidedly wider than in the past.
Accompanying the images are very precise slogans such as “A New Shape” (A new form) and “A Bold Stroke” (A bold stroke). The choice of these words confirms theories that the device will feature a redesigned screen format, characterized by wider proportions to counter the alleged iPhone Ultra.
The start of this promotional campaign signals unequivocally that the official launch date announcement is imminent.
However, public attention is not focused solely on a single model. The information leaked so far indicates that the upcoming event will unveil an entire family of foldables.
Alongside the standard model, the debut of the higher-end variant Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected, as well as the new iteration of the clamshell model, the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
The company is thus preparing to fully refresh its product lineup, fueling general curiosity with carefully dosed, small hints.
