Only a few hours remain until the China reveal of the new Redmi K90 Max, a device that is expected to serve as the base for our Xiaomi 17T Pro. While awaiting the launch, Lei Jun’s company has started to tease enthusiasts with a few more ecosystem additions. Redmi Pad 2 SE (WiFi and 4G) is an affordable tablet for every budget, ideal for those looking for a versatile and compact battle-ready device.
At the moment the tablet’s debut took place in China: however the first Redmi Pad SE arrived in Italy while in the past weeks signals about the Global launch have become quite tangible. Redmi Pad SE 2 is a device characterized by balanced specifications: the display is a 9.7″ LCD unit with a 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This way games and multimedia content can be enjoyed to the fullest and with ease for the eyes — thanks to low blue light emission, TÜV Rheinland certified.
The predecessor relied on MediaTek and Qualcomm solutions for the WiFi and 4G versions: in this case we have a single chipset, namely the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2, with a single configuration of 6/128 GB.
To power it all we have a 7,600 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. There is a main camera of 8 MP while for selfies and video calls there is a 5 MP sensor. Regarding the price, Redmi Pad 2 SE is offered at 1,099 yuan, about 136€ at the current exchange rate. The LTE-connected model rises to 1,399 yuan, i.e. about 174€ at the exchange rate.
