The international variant of Xiaomi 18, identified with model number 2611FPNFAG, has appeared in the Taiwan NCC authority’s database. This is not the first certification for this model: the device had already been spotted in the European EEC database last July, confirming that this is indeed the global version of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship.
From the certification documents, there are two storage options: 256 GB and 512 GB; on the charging front, a separate TÜV Rheinland certification related to the charger model MDY-19-EX confirms a wired charging power of 100W. The device would also be certified with IP68 dust and water resistance.
The most interesting detail concerns the timing. Xiaomi 17 had reached the NCC certification only by the end of October 2025, before debuting on international markets in February 2026. Xiaomi 18 accelerates this passage by more than a month, a sign that could indicate an accelerated global release compared to the previous generation.
Some hypotheses circulating with the news even suggest a global launch event in December, which would unite Xiaomi 18 and Xiaomi 18 Ultra, coherently with the Chinese debut of the standard version planned exactly for December.
However there are also other voices talking about the absence of an Ultra model and the global launch of Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max on a global level. Meanwhile Xiaomi 18 Fold, the brand’s first wide folding device, is already official but almost certainly will remain a Chinese exclusive.
