Realme has sparked the curiosity of Indian fans by publishing on Flipkart a teaser that promises something magical, literally: three vintage suitcases on a station trolley, accompanied by the phrase “Let The Magic Begin” and by a “Coming Soon” that leaves no doubt the announcement is near.
The brand has not yet revealed which product it is, but the iconography is fairly explicit in evoking Platform 9 ¾ from the Harry Potter universe.
To fill the void left by the teaser, an unofficial render took care of it, shared and then removed by the leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, which would show a dark brown rear panel with a diamond-embossed leather finish and gold details along the edges.
The real centerpiece of the design of the Realme 16 Pro special edition would be the Hogwarts crest, with the four house symbols and the motto “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus” clearly visible on the back.
On the front, the render preserves the punch-hole for the selfie camera already seen on the standard model, while in terms of memory the phone should appear in the single configuration of 12/256 GB.
Realme 16 Pro was announced at the beginning of the year, also in Italy: the device features a 6.78″ AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset and a 6,500 mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
The camera system includes a 200 MP main sensor with optical stabilization, an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP selfie camera.
If confirmed, this wouldn’t be the first time a Chinese brand partners with the Harry Potter universe for a special edition: Xiaomi had already pursued this path with the Redmi Turbo Redmi Turbo and OPPO has released something in the past.
The launch of this alleged Realme edition is expected in India via Flipkart, the same platform where the teaser appeared, but at the moment there is no official date.
