The launch of POCO’s new mid-range devices is getting closer, and we’re really at the end of the road: the official Xiaomi site has published various clues (between images and prices) and in the meantime one of the two models has also appeared on Geekbench.
The first benchmarks of POCO X8 Pro ‘confirm’ some details of the specifications: further proof of the device’s rebrand nature, already official in China for some time.
The phone appeared on Geekbench with the code 2511FPC34G: the final letter indicates that this is a Global device, thus coming to international markets. At the helm is the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, freshly launched: it is a 4 nm All Big Core chipset with a maximum clock of 3.4 GHz and a Mali-G720 GPU.
The version tested by benchmarks is equipped with 12 GB of RAM, while on the software side we have Android 16 (clearly with HyperOS 3, the latest version of Xiaomi’s interface).
POCO X8 Pro was also the subject of some images, published by Xiaomi’s Belgian division: the store made visible a page dedicated to the launch event, now darkened. Here were the official renders, along with the sale price.
The mid-range won’t arrive alone: together with it also POCO X8 Pro Max, the Western rebrand of Redmi Turbo 5 Max, also in this case with a MediaTek SoC (the Dimensity 9500s).
