An overall score of 5.384.433 on AnTuTu officially confirms what lies under the hood of OnePlus 16, expected in China in October. Additionally, the company has also completed the picture on the camera system and design, showing the first sample photos and revealing the presence of ultra-thin bezels (for a visually impressive viewing experience).
OnePlus 16: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and over 5.3 million points on AnTuTu
As noted in the opening, OnePlus 16 posted a remarkable 5.384.433 points on AnTuTu, broken down into 1.458.283 for the CPU, 2.010.584 for the GPU, 766.362 for memory and 1.149.204 for UX.
The chip behind this result is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (SM8975), manufactured on a 2 nm process and unveiled by Qualcomm in recent hours. It is the first mobile SoC with a 5 GHz CPU, and we are eager to get our hands on it.
Returning to the tested model, the phone is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage, but the flagship should also arrive in 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB and 16/512 GB configurations.
1.15mm bezels and a customizable dedicated button
On the design front, the company confirmed ultra-thin 1.15 mm bezels on all four sides of the display, which features a flat surface with rounded corners to improve grip.
The central bezel and the decoration around the camera module are metal. Among the everyday-use features, the dedicated physical button stands out, customizable with up to 9 different functions, from quick mute to the flashlight to recording.
The panel, a BOE X4 unit, measures 6.78″ and offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz, which rises to 185 Hz in compatible games. The device will debut with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
200MP camera and three new Pro modes

And finally we reach the showstopper: the camera system of the OnePlus 16, officially confirmed with sample shots. The main sensor, 1/1.4″ and 200 MP, features an aperture of f/1.6; beside it sits a 50 MP periscope telephoto, capable of a 3x optical zoom and lossless zoom up to 6x.
The rear setup is complemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide angle with a 116° field of view, while the front houses a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus.
Three new shooting modes accompany this to go beyond automatic: Master Mode aims for a cinema-inspired look with more natural lighting; High-Pixel Mode focuses on maximum detail and sharpness. Completing the trio is a widescreen 65:24 format mode designed to give photos a more cinematic cut.
Presumed specs and release
The rest of the spec sheet would include a 9,000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, a detail not yet confirmed. The OnePlus 16 will debut in China in October, with global availability still uncertain (but will likely not reach Europe or the USA).
