MediaWorld celebrates 35 years of business activity in Italy, outlining its strategic plan through 2030.
The brand presented a roadmap based on three main directions, which include expanding the physical network, accelerating digital sales, and developing areas of business complementary to retail.
The business plan sets precise financial and operational targets, including the doubling of transactions generated via e-commerce and a significant increase in the pace of opening new stores nationwide.
Since 1991, the year the first Italian store opened, the company has reached a total of 153 stores in operation.
The updated financial data indicate that, compared to 2020, total revenues have grown by 15%, while the company's market share stands at 29.7%, marking an increase of nearly two percentage points. In the first three quarters of fiscal year 2026, sales have risen by 5% year over year, while investments have grown by 16%.
Since 2020, the funds invested for infrastructural transformation and commercial expansion have reached 200 million euros. Regarding presence on the territory, the company foresees opening 5 new stores in the upcoming high-season period, to which more than 12 openings will be added during 2027.
Among the near-term openings, the 18 November in Milan inauguration is confirmed, where a Smart-format store will open located in Piazza Gae Aulenti.
The e-commerce channel has a central role, with the aim of doubling the volumes of the online business.
This target will be supported by structural interventions on assortment, on flexibility and speed of deliveries, and on the implementation of AI systems for personalized assistance and search modalities. Compared to 2020, digital sales have already risen by 40%.
Concurrently, planning focuses on the so-called growth areas, including the sectors Marketplace, Services & Solutions, Retail Media, Retail-as-a-Service and the management of Private Label. These divisions aim to diversify revenue sources by offering services spanning the entire product lifecycle, from installation to return options and refurbished devices.
In July 2026, management introduced the group strategy named “Moments of Trust“, structured to strengthen trust in customer relationships and ensure continuity between in-store and online purchases.
The operating results of the first three quarters of fiscal year 2026 show a Net Promoter Score of 68 points, the highest value in the history of the Italian subsidiary, with a projection set at 80 points by 2030. Internally, the employee satisfaction index NPP that measures employee satisfaction has a target quota 55.
To support these results in communications, on October 3 the campaign “35 Years of WOW Moments. Together.” will start, articulated through dedicated promotions, in-store events and activities on digital channels.
