The electric bicycle brand ADO becomes part of the HONOR Choice ecosystem, the line dedicated to third-party smart products integrated into its ecosystem. The collaboration marks its Italian market debut with ADO Air 20 Pro (2026), a folding electric bicycle that combines ADO’s cycling know-how with the smart features of the Chinese brand, arriving in October.
The new e-bike is equipped with a 250W BAFANG motor with a two-speed automatic transmission and 50 N·m of torque, paired with a carbon belt drive. The maximum speed is 25 km/h, with a maximum climb gradient of 15%.
The battery, 37V/10Ah, guarantees up to 100 km of autonomy in pedal-assisted mode, thanks also to a bilateral torque sensor with terrain detection.
The lightweight aluminum frame weighs 21 kg and supports a maximum load of 120 kg, with 20 x 1.95″ wheels. The bike is IPX6-rated for water resistance, with hydraulic disc brakes and integrated front and rear lights; the aluminum rear rack (mounted at the back), compatible with the MIK system, supports up to 25 kg.
On the handlebars sits a 2.4″ color IPS display, IPX7 certified with 180° visibility. Unlocking is via NFC in just 1.7 seconds, while the ADO Smart app offers navigation, route tracking, and emergency assistance. There are two riding modes, ECO and SPORT, to balance range and power according to needs.
HONOR Choice Folding E-Bike ADO Air 20 Pro is available in a gray color only and will be available in Italy from October 8. The price has not yet been announced but the dedicated page in Honor’s official store is already available. In addition, you can receive an initial €100 discount by signing up with your email address.
The entry of ADO into the HONOR Choice lineup is the result of a strategic evolution for both companies. Founded in 2021, ADO (the brand GizChina.it knows well) has witnessed rapid growth over the years.
At the same time, HONOR has undergone a phase of deep metamorphosis, moving from a brand tied to smartphones and accessories to creating a true lifestyle ecosystem, with a focus on AI and an approach reminiscent of Xiaomi (with Mijia and satellite companies).
The missing piece of the two brands’ bond is precisely this: the HONOR Choice brand includes a selection of third-party products (clearly of high quality) that are integrated into the brand’s smart ecosystem. Among the missing categories was green mobility: ADO was the perfect candidate. Its advantage is that it enjoys even greater visibility, while for HONOR it is the perfect opportunity to introduce electric bikes into its own ecosystem.
