Android potrebbe presto ricevere infinite lockscreen personalizzate grazie all’IA

Pixel lineup devices could soon gain a feature based on artificial intelligence, designed to significantly broaden the options for customization.

According to the latest discoveries in the operating system code, Google is working on a clock generator for the lock screen, capable of creating unprecedented visual styles starting from simple textual prompts from the user.

Android toward an increasingly user-driven interface

Digging into the Android Canary 2608 version, some developers have managed to force the activation of a screen that would otherwise be hidden, revealing the ongoing work on this new option.

Although the support servers are not yet active, preventing the actual generation of images, the user interface is already well defined.

At the heart of the experience there is a dedicated space in which to insert a textual command, accompanied by suggestions provided directly by the company under the heading “Ideas“. There is also an additional option that allows you to upload an existing image to use as a reference.

Once the request has been processed, the system takes care of generating a unique set of numeric digits, from 0 to 9, that will compose the digital clock on the lock screen.

This mechanic allows applying any type of material, shape, or texture to the numbers, offering a freedom that closely mirrors how the wallpaper generators already implemented by the Mountain View company work.

Superare i limiti attuali della personalizzazione

For quite some time now, Pixel owners have only 8 predefined styles for the home screen clock. The lack of updates in this particular area has made the aesthetic experience rather repetitive.

The new feature steps in to resolve the situation, promising ongoing and fully personalized updates for their own devices.

In addition to the actual creation phase, the observed interface includes a handy gallery, structured to save and manage the various designs generated.

In this way, it becomes possible to keep your favorite creations and switch them easily over time, without having to retype the textual descriptions or upload the same reference images.
