Over the coming weeks, Xiaomi’s sub-brand will unveil its new flagship generation, the line Redmi K100. During the ChinaJoy event (from July 31) there should be some news, but in the meantime leaks continue and this time the focus is on the new wine-red color, elegant and strongly inspired by Cupertino.
When it comes to design, style, functionality, and colors, Apple remains unmatched in emulation: the iconic Cosmic Orange of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max has spawned numerous Android-inspired variations, and just recently an OPPO with an orange chassis was announced.
The next color that will become a trend for Chinese brands is the new shade Dark Cherry of iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, teased by numerous insiders 1 but not yet officially confirmed. It is a deep and elegant wine red, the same color as Redmi K100 Pro, recently spotted in a poster leak shared on Weibo (Chinese social network in the style of X/Twitter).
The image shows the alleged design of the series, in line with that of K90 e K90 Pro Max. Also the teaser mentions K100 Series, so it is likely there will not be a standard model. The device should have a display with a refresh rate of 185 Hz and a rear speaker with audio Bose.
Xiaomi has revealed that during ChinaJoy at the end of July (start of August) it will unveil a new Redmi smartphone with gaming DNA. The announcement is accompanied by various posters that show the phone in silhouette, and in all cases the dominant color is red. Could this be a veiled preview of the new shade for the K100 Series?
Meanwhile Redmi K100 Pro has been spotted on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a few hours later a second model of the series appeared on the platform 3 with the same SoC.
Perhaps it would be the bigger brother Redmi K100 Pro Max: this time Xiaomi’s sub-brand could do without the latest Snapdragon (the upcoming 8 Elite Gen 6, arriving in September), perhaps in view of a future Ultra model.
