Samsung earns three Altroconsumo awards for AI-enabled refrigerators and a washing machine

The home appliance sector is undergoing a period of significant transformation, where the integration of artificial intelligence represents a concrete tool for energy efficiency and ease of use.

Samsung Electronics Italia has recently consolidated its leadership in this sector by obtaining three prestigious recognitions from Altroconsumo, the leading independent Italian consumer protection organization.

The tests, conducted in external certified and independent laboratories, analyzed the performance of refrigerators and washing machines within extremely rigorous comparative trials, rewarding the brand’s ability to combine technological innovation with a solid value-for-money proposition.

In the refrigeration segment, the EcoFlex AI and F1rst 60 AI models stood out, both earning the Best Buy seal, an award that identifies products capable of offering the best balance between cost and overall performance.

The EcoFlex AI fridge-freezer combo emerged successfully from an evaluation involving as many as 139 different models, confirming the versatility of the Samsung range available in various height and width configurations. Meanwhile, the built-in F1rst 60 AI model received the same honor, demonstrating how construction excellence can be successfully integrated even in built-in furniture solutions.

The true strength of these refrigerators lies in the integration with the SmartThings ecosystem, which enables dynamic and intelligent energy management. Thanks to the AI Energy Mode feature, users can continuously monitor consumption and actively reduce it up to fifteen percent in freestanding models and up to ten percent in built-in models.

The technology also enables real-time notifications about the device’s status, promptly alerting in case of malfunction or if the door is left accidentally open, as well as allowing remote temperature adjustment to trigger rapid cooling features such as Power Cool.

Moving to the laundry room, the AI Control 11 kg washing machine earned the Excellent Quality seal, ranking at the top of a colossal comparative test that involved 561 models. The appliance embodies Samsung’s vision, being capable of learning the user’s daily habits to suggest the most suitable washing cycles based on personal preferences.

The AI Wash technology further raises the standard of washing by using advanced sensors to recognize fabric type and soil level, fully automating the management of water, detergent, and cycle duration to optimize every single resource.

The efficiency of the AI Control washing machine is closely linked to its ability to drastically reduce costs through artificial intelligence. Activating AI Energy Mode via the SmartThings app can deliver energy savings of up to seventy percent on compatible cycles, a significant figure for those looking to reduce environmental impact and utility bills.
