Two years after the previous chapter, the tablet designed for entertainment returns with a new model. Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is the life of the party thanks to a 9-speaker JBL audio system, while the 2.5K display with a high refresh rate turns every video into a cinematic experience. Here are all the details of the device, freshly launched in Italy.
The new Lenovo tablet arrives with two features and a single goal: to become the reference point for mobile entertainment, a kind of portable stereo and – when needed – a real cinema in a compact format.
The back of the device hosts a 360° swiveling rear stand, useful for keeping the tablet in a vertical position. But the most important addition is the new JBL Pro speaker system with Hi-Fi Matrix structure and a stereo sound of 48W. After the 8 units of the first Lenovo Tab Plus, the new Tab Plus Gen 2 jumps to 9 integrated speakers with 4 tweeters, 3 woofers and 2 passive radiators; at the center of the chassis sits a large 43 cc speaker.
Dolby Atmos optimization is also present for a complete, all-around experience, with immersive and engaging audio – whether for music or any other type of multimedia content.
Thanks to Dolby Audio you can choose among three different modes: Dynamic, Movie (enhances dialogues) or Music (optimizes the frequencies). Additionally, the tablet can also function as a wireless speaker, linking your phone via Bluetooth.
For the remaining specifications, the device is equipped with a large 12.1″ IGZO LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate while a Dimensity 7400 chipset powers everything. The battery is a sizeable 10,200 mAh unit; software-wise, it runs Android 16 (via Lenovo UI) with 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches.
The device is compatible with optional Lenovo Tab Pen Plus accessories, the Sleeve Suite bag case and the multi‑device wireless keyboard. Finally, the price: Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 debuts in Italy from €429 via the official store, for the 8/128 GB version.
