Which Pixel Watch Will Receive Wear OS 7? Check This List

Less than a month after the official unveiling of Wear OS 7, the new operating system for Google’s smartwatches seems ready for its public debut.

The leak arrives completely unexpectedly via the U.S. carrier Verizon, which published in advance the changelogs for the upcoming updates to the company’s wearable devices.

This leak not only suggests a release much faster than expected, but also provides a clear indication of which models will receive the software.

Delving into the leaked documentation, it emerges that the update is due for three specific devices: Pixel Watch 2, Pixel Watch 3 and the most recent Pixel Watch 4.

All three smartwatches share the same build number, identified by the code CP2A.260603.001.

An absence that is immediately noticeable is that of the very first Pixel Watch, launched in 2022. This detail suggests that the progenitor of the family may not receive the new software versions, a hypothesis fully consistent with Mountain View’s official support policies, which guaranteed updates only until October 2025.

Wear OS 7 on Pixel Watch: What Changes?

Although not a colossal update, the seventh iteration of the OS brings a number of significant novelties. Among the most interesting additions are the new Live Updates and the new support for widgets, which will replace or rework the previous aesthetic and functional concept based on Tiles.

Alongside these innovations there is a deeply revamped media player and an improved interface for tracking physical workouts via third-party applications.

The changelog shared by the American operator, while essential and concise, confirms the inclusion of security patches updated to June 2026, in addition to the usual general improvements aimed at the watch’s stability and performance.

During last May’s announcement, the company broadly indicated that the software would be distributed within an unspecified period by the end of the year. Verizon’s page even pointed to yesterday as the final release date.

In the absence of official communications and direct server confirmations, the download launch has not yet started, but the traces found suggest that the global rollout will almost certainly begin within a few days.
