Amazfit announced Helio Strap Pro, a cutting-edge wearable training system designed specifically for HYROX athletes and those who practice hybrid training. The brand’s new bracelet arrives after the hiatus of the first Helio Strap, announced exactly a year ago: it seems the minimalist approach has proven successful, prompting a move toward an enhanced solution.
The new device not only measures cardiac effort and other parameters, but introduces the concept of Movement Intelligence, capturing crucial data on the quality of movement, stability and muscular load to offer a comprehensive view of physical performance when the body is under strain.
Unlike traditional wrist-based heart rate monitors, Helio Strap Pro relies on a multi-sensor system that works in synergy with compatible smartwatches, such as Amazfit Balance 3 or Balance Ultra.
The system includes the Helio Core Motion HR sensor, to be worn on the upper arm, which ensures heart rate readings that are extremely stable even during exercises that involve wrist flexion, grip on equipment, or high-intensity movements.
Additionally, there is Helio Core Motion Waist, a sensor positioned at the waist to monitor the stability and positioning of the body’s core, providing metrics that wrist-only devices could not detect with the same precision. Together, these components map every phase of the workout, ensuring higher accuracy even in strength and functional fitness contexts.
For those competing in events such as HYROX, the system offers specific and targeted analytics tools. After each session, the Zepp app processes the collected data, allowing athletes to evaluate their performance in each of the eight typical stations of the discipline, including complex exercises such as sandbag carries, rowing, sled pulling, or Burpee Broad Jumps.
On the connectivity front, the device supports Bluetooth 5.2, enabling real-time heart rate data sharing not only with Amazfit watches, but also with cycling computers, fitness equipment and third-party apps, in addition to syncing health data with Apple Health.
Among other features we have water resistance of 5 ATM and over 60 sport modes dedicated to disciplines ranging from HIIT to running. Battery life is a strength, with the arm sensor delivering up to 11 days of typical use and the waist sensor reaching 40 days of battery life.
An interesting aspect is the absence of mandatory monthly subscriptions to access the system’s advanced analyses. Amazfit Helio Strap Pro will be available on the market starting from the end of June at a price of $199.99: at the moment there are no details for Italy, so we will update this article as soon as they are available.
