After a lean period, the ultra-thin smartphone category tries again: the Chinese manufacturer goes for a sequel with nubia Air Pro, presented during the MWC in Barcelona and now official in Italy. The objective is clear: to correct past mistakes, offering an improved version of the base chapter – with more appealing specs and some tweaks that boost the experience.
The real protagonist of the technical sheet is undoubtedly the thickness of just 5.99 mm, accompanied by a featherweight of only 172 grams.
Despite the silhouette so slim, nubia did not compromise on robustness, adopting a central frame entirely in a high-strength aluminum alloy that guarantees better protection against drops than the previous generation.
Despite the thickness, the device boasts triple protection IP68, IP69 and IP69K. This means that, in addition to the classic immersion in freshwater, the smartphone is designed to withstand high-pressure water jets and temperatures up to 80 °C.
nubia Air Pro sports a wide display 6.77″ AMOLED with a 95.4% screen-to-body ratio, which minimizes the bezels. The display supports a refresh rate up to 144 Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, ensuring perfect readability even under direct sunlight.
Under the hood beats the processor Dimensity 7100 at 6 nm, with 8 GB of RAM LPDDR5 and 512 GB of storage.
The battery is a silicon-carbon unit with a capacity of 5000 mAh, supported by 45 W fast charging and the convenient 10 W reverse charging to power small accessories.
The camera system has been updated with a 108 MP main sensor equipped with the Neovision AI system, paired with a 32 MP front-facing module for selfies.
The new nubia Air Pro has debuted in Italy at a price of €449.90 and is available on Amazon and at major electronics retailers. If you are not seeing the boxes below correctly, try disabling AdBlock.
