Clicks Communicator: More Battery and It Updates Even Before Release

The journey of Clicks in the world of mobile technology began in a wholly peculiar way. The company, which became very popular in 2024 for its keyboard-equipped physical QWERTY cases designed initially for iPhone and later adapted for Android devices, is about to take the most important step in its history.

This is no longer about offering simple accessories, but about launching a real smartphone independent. Clicks Communicator, whose market debut is scheduled for the last quarter of the year, is already sending very positive signals thanks to a recent communication delivered to those who placed the pre-order.

Often manufacturers operating in highly specific market segments stumble on software, presenting devices based on operating systems from the previous year only to take months before releasing an update.

Clicks has decided to avoid this obstacle altogether by communicating a clear shift in direction compared to the specifications announced at CES. The smartphone will not arrive in users’ hands with Android 16, but will debut directly with Android 17. Since the release is scheduled for the end of the year, Google’s new OS version will already be widely stable and widespread.

This means buyers will be able to use up-to-date software from day one, without having to wait. In addition to this, there is the promise of long-term support that should arrive up to Android 20, a factor that lends great solidity to the project and reassures those looking for a smartphone built to last.

The Ergonomics Challenge

Beyond the updated technical specifications, the device’s appeal lies in daily usability and the writing approach. Unlike other competitors such as the well-regarded Unihertz Titan 2 Elite, which leans toward an experience reminiscent of classic BlackBerry, Clicks has chosen a different path.

The keyboard of the new smartphone will feature circular-shaped keys and more spaced apart from each other. It remains to be tested how this precise design choice will translate into the long-term typing experience, but the seriousness shown by the company is evident.

Bringing tangible improvements to software and hardware even before the official release demonstrates notable attention to their customers.

In a market made up of demanding enthusiasts, winning and keeping users’ trust is essential, and the preventive decisions taken by Clicks seem to move exactly in this virtuous direction.

More Autonomy in Compact Dimensions

The updates shared via email are not limited to the operating system. The company has indeed confirmed a significant boost in autonomy. Initial statements spoke of a 4,000 mAh battery, but updated data reveal the use of a silicon-carbon cell with a capacity of 4,450 mAh.

This 11.25% increase represents a considerable advantage, especially when contextualized within the device’s engineering.

The smartphone stands out for its compact dimensions, boasting a 4.03″ display, and is powered by a 4 nm processor particularly efficient in power management. An increase in capacity in such a compact space guarantees daily usability that is markedly higher than initial estimates.
