Although there are still about five months to the official launch of the new smartphone lineup branded by Xiaomi, rumors continue to surface with notable regularity. The latest images leaked online, shared by Leo Hefeng via the platform X (post now deleted), offer a preview look at the alleged renders of the flagship variant.
The renders of Xiaomi 18 Pro, although tied to preliminary stages and apparently lacking the final rear panel, allow us to glimpse the choices that will characterize the future high-end device.
Among the most evident novelties stands a new side physical button and there is the confirmation of a peculiarity already appreciated in the previous generation.
Looking at the images that appeared online, the element that immediately catches attention is the presence of an additional button, presumably placed on the right side of the chassis and clearly marked with the AI logo.
The accompanying leak information indicates that this button will be entirely focused on AI-based operations, as one might reasonably expect. It would be a highly customizable command, designed to provide quick access to various software functions.
Users will have the ability to activate specific actions in any context with a single press, rapidly and directly controlling connected home devices and even the electric vehicles compatible with the company’s own products.
In addition to these remote control features, the button will allow invoking native advanced tools, including a function identified by leaks as “Xiaomi miclaw“, integrating neural processing into everyday use of the smartphone.
The rear camera module design maintains a rectangular layout and, in line with the construction choices of the previous Xiaomi 17 Pro, will again house a secondary screen. Reports in the past weeks had hinted at the development of an “AI-powered smart window“, suggesting that the small rear display will enjoy new functionalities.
Regarding photo and video capture, the device will integrate optics capable of capturing an extremely high amount of detail. The rumors describe the presence of two 200 MP sensors, dedicated respectively to the main camera and to a 3x optical zoom telephoto lens, able to deliver excellent performance even for high-definition macro shots.
Beyond aesthetics and photographic capabilities, the sources outline a hardware profile of absolute relevance. The smartphone is expected to be equipped with a front display of 6.3-inch front screen, a size that suggests excellent overall ergonomics. The real standout element, however, lies in the power: rumors speak of a battery capacity of 7000 mAh or even higher.
A battery of such size will require appropriate charging systems, and indeed the rumors confirm support for wired fast charging of 100 W, paired with wireless charging. Completing the technical specifications is the certification for water and dust resistance.
Naturally, since this information has not yet been verified by the manufacturer’s official channels, all details that have emerged require the usual caution pending the definitive unveiling.
