Following the debut of Xiaomi Book Pro 14, Lei Jun’s company has also announced the new premium Redmi laptops. As usual we are dealing with two versions, based on the display size: Redmi Book 2026 arrives in 14″ and 16″ formats, with aesthetic and technical differences truly minimal – and a particularly tempting price, albeit reserved for the Chinese market.
The new Redmi laptops target the mid-range, but with style and a few indulgences. Both feature a metallic chassis and a clean look, with a single silver color option.
The heart of the Redmi Book 2026 is the Core Ultra 5 125H processor, built on Intel’s 4th-generation manufacturing process and equipped with 14 cores (18 threads) and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.5 GHz. The GPU is integrated, while on the memory side there are 16/32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM (7,467 MT/s) and 512 GB/1 TB of SSD storage.
The differences between the two laptops concern only the displays and overall dimensions (including trackpad sizes). Compared to Xiaomi’s flagship model, Redmi’s versions do not feature OLED panels, but classic LCD displays – 14″ with a 2.8K resolution and 16″ 2.5K, with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The battery is also shared, with a sizeable 80 Wh unit and – included – a practical 100W GaN charger. The integration with Xiaomi HyperConnect is present, which allows you to use the PCs as unified control centers for the brand’s devices.
The new Redmi premium laptops will be available for purchase in China starting April 23. Xiaomi has announced a launch promo with starting prices of around €684 and €709 at the current exchange rate, respectively for the 14″ and the 16″ version. Below you will find all configurations of both devices, along with their launch price.
