The Chinese tech giant has announced a new event dedicated to Global markets: the presentation of the upcoming additions to the brand’s international ecosystem is scheduled for the May 7 in Bangkok, Thailand. Huawei has also released a playful teaser video featuring an animated panda: in every scene one of the upcoming products is shown, confirming the launch of at least three new products.
During the May event, the new Huawei Watch Fit 5 and 5 Pro will arrive: the watches had already been unveiled in China but now is the time for the Global launch. Both feature a now well-proven design, with the Pro model equipped with thinner bezels and a larger AMOLED screen, 1.92″. We are talking about a premium solution, protected by sapphire glass with 2.5D curvature and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
The younger brother drops to 1.82″ with 2,500 nits while both benefit from a claimed 7-day battery life with normal use or up to 10 days with lighter use.
The second novelty shown is a smartphone: the company has not yet confirmed the details but it should be the Huawei Nova 15 Max, perhaps a rebrand of the recent Enjoy 90 Pro Max (presented in China).
If this hypothesis is confirmed, we would be looking at a device with a 6.84″ OLED display at 120 Hz, powered by a Kirin 8000 chipset and fueled by a sizable 8,500 mAh battery. On the camera front we would find a 50 MP main sensor with an RYYB filter and an f/1.9 aperture.
Finally the teaser also reveals a large new tablet: according to rumors it should debut as the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. Unfortunately, at the moment there are no details either on the specifications or on the design.
