The Chinese company has unveiled the new smartphones in the Number series, with all official details. So far the debut has occurred only in a few selected Global markets, while in Italy we are waiting for May. This remains the right opportunity to discover all the details of Honor 600 and 600 Pro, with the full technical specifications and the first information on the selling price.
The design of the Honor 600 series marks a departure from previous generations. The Honor 400 family is equipped with an asymmetric camera, delivering an elegant and refined look. The Honor 500 (unreleased in Italy) adopts a horizontal capsule camera, a style that mirrors the iPhone Air — Apple’s ultra-thin device.
With the new models we once again see a shift in aesthetics, but the inspiration remains Apple. Both smartphones feature a large rectangular island on the back, housing the camera sensors and the LED flash. The look nods to the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max also in terms of the new Orange color — bold and iconic; the black and white variants are more understated, aimed at those seeking a less conspicuous style.
The phones feature straight edges, rounded corners, a metal chassis and a medium-sized display with a central punch-hole; the thickness is 7.8 mm. Both offer an under-display optical fingerprint reader while the body is rated IP69K against dust, water and high-pressure jets.
Along the right edge is the customizable AI Button, which can be set to access specific features.
Both Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro mount a 6.57″ AMOLED display with AI HDR Display 2.0 and AI Vivid Display 2.0 technologies. The panels reach a refresh rate of 120 Hz while the peak brightness goes up to 8,000 nits. These are therefore screens well suited for gaming and multimedia content in general, with no visibility issues even under direct sunlight.
Moving on to the technical specifications, both the Honor 600 and 600 Pro rely on Qualcomm. The base model is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 while the higher-end sibling aims high with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the former flagship chipset from the American manufacturer. Clearly the second one is advantaged both in terms of performance and gaming capabilities (with a GPU featuring ray tracing).
The autonomy is entrusted to a large 7,000 mAh battery with silicon-carbon technology. Charging for both reaches 80W while only the Pro version also offers 50W wireless charging. Reversible charging is also available, which allows you to fully utilize the battery by using the device as a power bank when needed.
The camera system of the Honor 600 and 600 Pro differs only in one detail, namely the presence of a telephoto lens. The main sensor of both is a 200 MP solution with a 1/1.4″ size and optical image stabilization (CIPA rating varies by model), accompanied by an ultra-wide with a 112° field of view and a 50 MP selfie camera.
The color temperature sensor works in conjunction with the proprietary AI Color Engine technology to improve color fidelity in photos and videos.
As seen above, the camera setup changes only with a single sensor. The Honor 600 Pro adds a periscope telephoto lens of 50 MP with OIS, 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. Even if the base device does not offer the telephoto, there is still digital zoom up to 30x.
The price of Honor 600 is about €559 at the current exchange rate, based on the Malaysian price list. The higher Pro version starts at about €666 at the same rate; remember that the figures in the article refer to the Global debut, while for Italy’s prices we will have to wait until May.
The official Italian Honor store has already launched a promotion: you can sign up via the dedicated page to receive various benefits — including exclusive coupons for the 600 series. As soon as there are price updates, we will update this in-depth article with all the details!
