Everyone’s crazy for Gaming Phones: Chinese brands have now decided to test themselves in this category, each with their own personal take. iQOO 15 Ultra will be the next addition: instead of aiming for a camera phone (as the vast majority of Ultra phones do), the Vivo brand is targeting mobile gaming and does so with a distinctive personal touch in the design.
The flagship will arrive in China in early February, and the company has now officially revealed the design and two colorways that look to the future.
2077 Flowing Orange and 2049 Cold Blue, these are the names of the iQOO 15 Ultra versions. The classy touch is precisely the color, characterized by a monochrome shell – black or gray/silver – crossed by orange or blue geometric gradients.
Nothing else is specified, but it is very likely that this uses the same technology as the standard iQOO 15 in Lingyun color. This variant can change color instantly, based on the viewing angle – with red hues. No electrochromism nor temperature-based techniques, but an elegant play of lights.
The camera module includes an RGB LED light and a cooling fan, the latter not in view (you can glimpse the air vents).
The unveiling of iQOO 15 Ultra is scheduled for early February, for now only in China. Below you will find an overview of the leaked technical specifications so far. The device has also been spotted on Antutu with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a jaw-dropping score.
