The HONOR Magic 8 series is set to debut on the market in the coming weeks, after the Magic 7 series introduced one of the first phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite; expectations are very high for its successor. The tradition, in fact, should not be interrupted: it could be the Chinese company itself to debut the first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
The latest rumors confirm that the new HONOR Magic 8 models have already obtained the 3C certification in China, signaling an imminent market debut. Identified by the model numbers BKQ-AN00 and BKQ-AN80, these devices will offer support for 90W fast charging, promising truly very fast charging times. It is interesting to note that the BKQ-AN80 version could offer limited BeiDou positioning support, potentially excluding other satellite navigation systems such as GPS.
The HONOR Magic 8 lineup is shaping up extensive, including models such as the Magic 8, the Magic 8 Pro, the Magic 8 Mini and the Magic 8 Ultra. The standard and Pro versions are expected with OLED displays of 6.58 inches and 6.7 inches respectively, both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Although these models are expected to launch this year, the Mini and Ultra editions could debut next year.
For photography enthusiasts, HONOR Magic 8 Ultra promises a revolutionary experience, being the first phone in the world with a dual 200-megapixel configuration for the main camera and the periscope telephoto lens.
