The Chinese company has released on Weibo the first official teasers of the new REDMAGIC 12 Pro+, part of the brand’s new flagship lineup, previewing a design that focuses mainly on slimmer bezels and a lighter body compared to the previous model.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro+: what the official teasers show
According to REDMAGIC, the screen bezels drop to 0.96 mm, compared to the previous 1.25 mm of the previous REDMAGIC 11 Pro+. The new model is also more lightweight than its predecessor, which weighed 230 grams, and adopts rounded corners designed to improve grip and comfort during prolonged use, typical of gaming smartphones.
On the hardware front, REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ is expected to mount the new chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, paired with an advanced cooling system. We can assume the presence of fluorinated liquid cooling technology, along with a physical fan and a cooled section with liquid metal.
In July, first rumors about the gaming phone’s battery emerged, which this time should aim for 8,000 mAh (but for now there are no confirmations from teasers).
The official unveiling of the series is expected for October in China, where the device will face competition mainly from the OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16 (both expected in the same month).
