This Xiaomi mini dishwasher is also a cabinet, thanks to UV mode

Dishes stay clean and dry inside for ten days, without having to store them away in a cabinet right away: it’s the most unusual feature of Mijia Smart Countertop Dishwasher 5-Set, the new countertop appliance launched in China by Xiaomi, designed for those who don’t have space for a traditional built-in model.

The latest compact Xiaomi Mijia dishwasher has a capacity of five place settings, enough according to Xiaomi for households from two to five people. The dimensions are 550 x 598 x 350 mm for a weight of 18.5 kg, with a foldable magnetic door that limits total depth to 600 mm even when fully open.

In addition, no fixed hydraulic connection is required: the appliance works directly resting on the kitchen counter. The multidirectional washing system uses four spray arms and 34 water jets, with an outlet pressure of up to 30,000 Pa and eight washing modes available.

Drying is achieved via a PTC hot-air system, with temperatures up to 80b0C. An optical sensor monitors the level of dirt for the water quality, paired with an AI-based analysis that completes the assessment in just 10 seconds.

Dishes stay clean for up to 10 days, with app control

Beyond the washing function, Mijia Smart Countertop Dishwasher 5-Set also doubles as a dishware cabinet: a UV mode with active air circulation keeps the washed dishes clean and dry inside the appliance for up to 240 hours, without the need to unload it right after every cycle.

On the efficiency front, in Eco Wash mode a full cycle consumes 8 liters of water and 0.282 kWh of electricity. Connectivity goes through HyperOS Connect: via the smartphone app it is possible to start cycles remotely, schedule them in advance and monitor their progress, while voice control is compatible with Xiaomi smart speakers.

The launch price in China is 1.998 yuan (circa 260a03 at the current exchange rate), and at the moment there are no details regarding the international debut.
