OnePlus breaks a 12-year tradition: here is the N6 Lite, its most affordable smartphone

For the first time in its history, which began in 2013 under the banner of Qualcomm processors and continued with MediaTek, OnePlus brings to market a smartphone with a Unisoc chipset on board. It is the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G, officially unveiled in India as the new entry-level model of the N series, and it is the cheapest phone ever made by Pete Lau’s company.

The heart of the device is the Unisoc T7250, paired with 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4X and 64 GB of storage UFS 2.2. It is an octa-core entry-level SoC on a 12 nm process, equipped with 2 Cortex-A75 cores (1.8 GHz) and 6 Cortex-A55 cores (1.6 GHz), designed specifically for budget models.

The display is an LCD HD+ 6.75″, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 900 nits in HBM mode, while the battery has a generous capacity, 7.000 mAh, paired with 15W wired charging.

On the photography front, the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G mounts a single 13 MP rear sensor (OV13B10), accompanied by a 5 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Among the features, the device includes a 3.5 mm audio jack, IP64 and MIL-STD-810H certifications, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

However, NFC support and stereo speakers are missing, two concessions not to be taken for granted for those looking at this market segment; connectivity stops at Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. On the software front, the phone ships with Android 16 and OxygenOS 16.

OnePlus N6 Lite 4G is available in India in Midnight Hype and Neo Green colors, at a price of 16.999 Indian rupees (about 155€ at the current exchange rate) for the only configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. And yes, this is, in every sense, the most affordable smartphone ever produced by OnePlus.
