Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will have a MediaTek heart: the ‘confirmation’ from Geekbench

Following the announcement of the new Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip (launch offer with an insane discount), the Korean giant doesn’t stop. In the brand’s future, not too distant, there is the tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, once again a gem equipped with a maxi display and a flagship chipset built by MediaTek.

The device appeared on Geekbench with the initial results and some ‘confirmation’ on the specifications. The commercial name is not present, but the model code SM-X946B: the device scored 2,424 points in the single-core test and 8,446 in multi-core, results slightly higher than its predecessor.

This is thanks to the presence of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, premium SoC of this generation and direct rival to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

It has long been that Samsung relies on the Taiwanese chipmaker for its top-of-the-line tablets and this time it has not made an exception. The previous Galaxy S11 Ultra was equipped with the Dimensity 9400+, but this year MediaTek did not release a Plus variant of its SoC.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has already been at the center of a slew of rumors: a leak has revealed the design with a series of render images, while below you will find the leaked specifications up to this moment.

When does the new Samsung tablet come out?

The clues about the release of the new tablet are quite evident and point to a rapid debut. The Galaxy Tab S12 series should include the S12+ model and the flagship S12 Ultra, with a debut scheduled for September.

Additionally there are expected other novelties: the ‘affordable’ flagship Galaxy S26 FE (priced steeply, according to leaks) and Galaxy SmartTag 3, Samsung’s iconic locator, with a renewed design.
