After many rumors and behind-the-scenes previews, HyperOS 4 is finally official: Xiaomi has announced all the new features of its interface and more.
Besides illustrating the Cupertino Liquid Glass-style design and the slew of AI-related features, Lei Jun’s company has launched the beta program. This has brought the first confirmation of the smartphones and tablets supported, both under the Xiaomi and Redmi brands.
Clearly, the HyperOS 4 presentation concerns the Chinese market for now. The Global announcement will take place later, and consequently, the list below refers only to devices released in China.
If we look at the HyperOS 3 Beta timelines, it is likely that the brand will announce the opening of the international beta program around mid-September. Anyway, it’s good to keep an eye on HyperOS official channels (like X) for any announcements.
From August 14
From August 27
From 17 September
The China announcement of HyperOS 4 happened in August, similar to the previous version. Accordingly, we can expect Xiaomi to follow roughly the same release schedule.
The company has not yet confirmed the stable version’s release window, but it is likely that the debut in China is expected around mid-October.
Regarding Global markets and Europe, we expect an official announcement in September and the rollout of the first stable software by the end of October.
The update plan will proceed in phases for all compatible models and will certainly end during the first quarter of 2027 (in line with HyperOS 3’s release strategy). Obviously this is speculation, so we await official confirmation from Xiaomi.
Clearly, underneath the new graphical changes there will still be Android 17. It should be…
