Honor Robot Phone specifications confirm it will be a no-compromise smartphone

After the initial confirmations at the end of July regarding the camera system, the wait for the official unveiling of the Honor Robot Phone, scheduled for August 12, has reached its peak.

Thanks to recent rumors circulating on Weibo by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station and supported by some promotional images published by the company itself, all the details about the new device have emerged.

The leaked information shows a device designed to offer the maximum performance in every area, from the display to battery life, up to the obvious photographic capabilities.

The front panel of the new Honor smartphone will host a flat LTPO OLED display of 6.3″, characterized by a resolution of 1,216 x 2,640 pixels.

What stands out is the peak brightness value, which according to the rumors will reach the incredible figure of 6,800 nit. Visibility is optimal in any outdoor lighting condition, thanks also to the presence of a special anti-reflective coating.

Under the hood, the device’s engine will be the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. To accompany this premium-tier chip there will be two very generous memory configurations: users will be able to choose between a version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage and an even more capacious variant equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory.

To support such demanding hardware, Honor has decided to integrate an extraordinarily large battery module. The device will be powered by a 7,060 mAh unit, capable of delivering extended autonomy even with heavy use, paired with an ultrafast wired charging system at 120 W.

Chip proprietari e fotocamere di alta qualità

In addition to the main processor, the company has included three internally developed chips to handle specific phone functions, improving its overall efficiency.

The first is the chip C1, dedicated to boosting radio frequencies and signal stability. The second is the chip E2, focused on power management to optimize the consumption of the large battery. Finally, the chip H1 will handle image processing exclusively, working in synergy with the photographic sensors.

On the photography front, the specifications confirm the brand’s ambition to position itself at the top of the category. The rear of the device will host a 200 MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, gimbal stabilization, and a 1/1.28″ sensor.

This will be accompanied by a periscope telephoto lens, also featuring a resolution of 200 MP, with an aperture of f/2.6, a sensor of 1/1.4″ and a 2.7x optical zoom.

All that remains is to wait until August 12 to discover all the details still missing about this highly anticipated device.
