Samsung releases stable One UI 9.0 for Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra

Samsung has officially released the stable update to One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, for Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra (the full lineup). The release comes four months after the beta program opened in May, which went through a total of seven test versions before arriving at the stable build.

Currently the update has been released in South Korea, so the rollout for the rest of the world will begin at a later time — although it is likely that it won’t be long.

Galaxy S26, One UI 9.0 stable: availability, size and security patches

The software distributed in South Korea arrives with firmware version S94xNKSU4BZ16: as highlighted at the outset, Samsung should gradually extend the rollout to other markets in the coming days.

For those who were already enrolled in the beta program, the download is about 550 MB, as this is an incremental update; for those coming from a previous stable version, the file size will likely be larger. The update also includes the September 2026 security patches.

To check for the availability of the update, simply open the Settings app on your Galaxy S26, S26+ or S26 Ultra, scroll to the Software update option and tap Check for updates: if the release is already active in your country, the download will start automatically.

Once the update has been downloaded, you will simply need to tap Restart to complete the installation in a few minutes. We reiterate once again that the stable One UI 9 is rolling out to Korea and that it will reach the rest of the world in the coming days.
