Google has officially unveiled its new generation of high-end smartphones. The lineup consists of three main devices designed to meet different needs: Google Pixel 11, Google Pixel 11 Pro and Google Pixel 11 Pro XL.
First, a quick caveat for Italian users: the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold exists and has been announced, but unfortunately will not arrive officially in our country.
This new family of products accelerates the integration between hardware and software, introducing unprecedented AI features and refining a high-end camera system.
The screens of the new line offer improvements in visibility and durability. The base model features an Actua display of 6.3 inches capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The Pro and Pro XL variants, respectively 6.3 inches and 6.8 inches, push further, integrating Super Actua LTPO panels able to reach 3600 nits.
The brightness increase stands at +9% compared to the past, accompanied by a doubled scratch resistance, also guaranteed by the cover glass Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The design has been further refined with a redesigned rear camera bar, now the slimmest ever on the base model, significantly reducing the protrusion when using a protective case.
The Pixel 11 features a satin aluminum frame, while the Pro variants sport a glossy finish, with the exception of the new Obsidian Black color that for the first time sports a matte finish on the Pro model. The colorways draw inspiration from the warm tones of nature and include lilac purple, hibiscus pink, pistachio green and obsidian black.
The entire line is powered by the new Google Tensor G6 processor, designed to maximize everyday performance. Note that the chip is again manufactured on the TSMC 3nm node.
The new CPU ensures 20% better energy efficiency, accompanied by faster navigation by 25% and reduced app loading times by 15%. To support on-device AI, the company has included a 50% more powerful TPU paired with the new Gemini Nano models.
Also included are 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage on the Pro models, enabling much faster and more efficient multitasking compared to the previous generation.
The Gemini AI is heavily involved in daily life. The advanced dictation features (Rumbler) automatically remove filler words and uncertainties in speech, returning clean and organized texts. An important novelty concerns accessibility: via the camera, the smartphone can translate sign language into text directly in the Gboard keyboard, greatly facilitating face-to-face communication.
Another exclusive feature for the Pro models is HiLight, a LED system placed around the flash that provides discreet light signals for incoming calls from favorite contacts or to indicate Gemini listening, making it very handy when the phone is laid face-down.
On privacy, data security is guaranteed by the built-in VPN and by the new hardware chip Titan M3 with post-quantum cryptography.
In terms of battery life, a direct comparison with last year’s models shows an interesting picture. The Pixel 11 includes a 4985 mAh battery, marking an improvement in nominal capacity over the previous Pixel 10 which had 4970 mAh.
Conversely, the higher-end versions see a very slight downgrade: the Pixel 11 Pro houses an 4850 mAh module, lower than the 4870 mAh of the Pixel 10 Pro, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL drops to 5115 mAh compared to the substantial 5200 mAh of the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The Tensor G6 energy efficiency should more than compensate for this small gap. Charging times are also reduced: the Pixel 11 Pro XL supports 45W chargers capable of reaching 75% of the battery in just 30 minutes, and wireless charging with Qi2.2 up to 25W is ensured across the line.
Obviously, the Pixelsnap magnetic accessories remain compatible.
The imaging hardware takes another big step forward. The Pixel 11 features a main sensor of 48 MP, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.8 MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. The Pro variants, instead, sport a main camera of 50 MP, accompanied by a 48 MP ultrawide and a 48 MP periscope telephoto capable of a 5x optical zoom.
Indeed, the redesigned telephoto sensor on the Pro models captures 32% more light, delivering better low-light shots. It’s also worth noting the front sensor jump to 42 MP for selfies and high-quality video calls on the Pro models.
Among the software novelties, the Magic Capture mode stands out, instantly removing motion blur and cropping subjects with a single tap on the display.
The Night Sight mode reduces low-light shots, processing images up to 4.5x faster than the previous generation using the new image processor.
For users who want to push further, the Zoom Pro 120x on the Pro models lets you approach subjects at extreme distances, while the new Photo Styles personalize the overall look of images, consistently ensuring natural skin tones through the Real Tone philosophy.
The new devices will arrive through online and physical channels such as Google Store, Amazon, MediaWorld, Unieuro and Euronics. The pre-order phase will start today, while actual availability for direct in-store purchase is scheduled for August 20 starting at 1:00 PM at the following prices:

Buying the smartphones at major chains such as Amazon, MediaWorld, Unieuro and Euronics, you can take advantage of a trade-in value of €200 for the base model, €300 for the Pro variant and €400 for the Pro XL model.
Choosing the Pro XL and trading in an old Pixel, you can even obtain an extra €100 trade-in value. These conditions will remain active until September 13.
Those who prefer to complete the purchase via the official Google Store will have time from August 12 to September 1 to take advantage of €200 trade-in for the Pixel 11 and €400 for the two Pro models.
