CIVI 6 Pro canceled: is the Xiaomi 17T series involved?

Rumors about the cancellation of the Xiaomi CIVI series surface with regular frequency, but this time there might be some truth. With the Chinese debut of the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro (it’s the first time the company brings the T series to its home market), the CIVI family doesn’t seem to have a place within the brand’s ecosystem anymore.

Xiaomi has canceled the CIVI series and no relaunches are planned: here are the latest rumors

The usual Digital Chat Station has answered a curious user on Weibo, unveiling the possible fate of the line. The Xiaomi CIVI series would have been canceled, as well as the plans for new smartphones. It’s not the first time the line has been written off: back in 2024 there were already rumors about a cancellation, denied by the launch of CIVI 5 Pro in May 2025.

In recent months two alleged smartphones have emerged, CIVI 6 and 6 Pro, a pair of Camera Phones with Leica lenses, two sizes (6.59″ and 6.83″), and a Dimensity chipset.

The plot twist of Xiaomi 17T

However, things are changing rapidly: the plot twist was the Chinese debut of Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, a first-ever for the range. Until now the models in the T series have been launched as mid-range flagships for Global markets but this year Lei Jun’s company chose to bring them to China as an alternative to the current top-of-the-line models.

In fact the specifications of both seem to be those of the already mentioned CIVI 6 and 6 Pro, another sign that this latter series may have reached the end of the road.
