There is talk of the anticipated debut of the Xiaomi 18 series, but this change should not concern only the release in China. The Global version is also expected earlier than usual, and now a well-known insider reveals the exact release window: the future flagship lineup could make its first appearance before Christmas, and this time it seems that the Ultra variant will be missing from the lineup.
Xiaomi 18 Global will arrive earlier than expected: what we know about the new international series
Starting from the launch in China, usually the presentation of Xiaomi’s flagship devices takes place shortly after the release of the latest Snapdragon flagship. Some rumors talk about an early August launch, but that seems unlikely since Qualcomm’s annual summit will be held from 22 to 24 September.
Whatever the release date in the homeland, there has long been talk that the Global top-series will be announced by the end of the year. Generally the brand’s flagship stage is the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but this time things seem to go differently.
Xiaomi 18 Global is expected in early December, at least for the Indian market. Moreover this generation should kick off the international revolution: for the first time the Ultra flagship model will be missing and in its place the complete family will arrive. This means that there will be Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, with the latter taking on the role of the definitive Camera Phone.
However the Pro Max model will be distributed in very limited quantities: clearly this refers to the Indian market and it remains to be seen whether the full range will debut in Europe or there will be changes.
