vivo X300e with Zeiss cameras and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5: the X300 series isn’t over yet

The Vivo X300 series already counts five smartphones (in Italy, only three have arrived), but it seems the Chinese company still has another card to play. Spotted earlier this year, now vivo X300e becomes much more concrete thanks to a roundup of details directly from the usual insider Digital Chat Station.

vivo X300e revealed by an insider: what to expect from the next model in the range

Vivo X300 Ultra

Last year, the brand unveiled vivo X300 and X300 Pro, followed by the Camera Phone X300 Ultra. The phones released in Italy end here, but in China and other countries they have also been distributed X300s (an upgraded version of the standard model) and X300 FE, a mid-high-range alternative.

As for the new addition, it seems that vivo X300e will align with the FE model — at least regarding the chipset. The smartphone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5; the display would be a Flat OLED unit of 6.59″ with a 1.5K resolution.

There would not be a Zeiss camera setup, a triple 50 + 8 + 50 MP with ultra-wide and periscope telephoto. Front-facing there would be a 50 MP selfie camera while on the battery side there are rumors of a 7.015 mAh or 7.100 mAh, with 90W charging.

vivo X300e should have a different design compared to the circular module of the larger siblings and the iPhone Air-style module present on X300 FE, but it should opt for a square camera. The chassis, characterized by a metal perimeter, would have a thickness of 7.99 mm and a weight around 203 grams.

A release date is still missing; moreover it is not clear if it will remain a Chinese exclusive or if it will debut in other countries as well (but note that the first sighting occurred in a Global certification).
