Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ surfaces at a certification body, here’s the photo

Several months after the initial rumors, concrete news emerge about the next generation of high-end tablets from the South Korean company.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ has appeared for the first time in a real image from a certification body, offering a clear view of its front.

Recent rumors solidify details regarding the adoption of a high-performance MediaTek processor and a commercial launch scheduled for September.

Since February, numerous details have circulated about the development of the new Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, primarily concerning technical specifications, battery life and launch window.

Until now, however, the devices’ appearance had remained shrouded in mystery. The situation has changed in the last hours thanks to the certification body Safety Korea, whose database revealed a live photograph of the front panel of the Plus variant.

The image, initially released by the portal SammyGuru, shows a device that clearly inherits the lines of the Galaxy Tab S11. The front is, in fact, characterized by bezels of regular and identical sizes on all sides of the screen, ensuring a strict balance in line with the brand’s premium products.

One of the most debated aspects from previous leaks concerned the front-facing camera module. Some sources had hypothesized the introduction of a display cutout to host the sensor, a solution very common on smartphones and a bit less common on tablets.

Carefully examining the leaked photograph, it becomes evident that the Galaxy Tab S12+ does not adopt such an approach.

The front camera remains integrated in the traditional way directly within the top bezel. It is plausible to suppose that the Asian manufacturer has decided to reserve the possible display hole solution exclusively for the Ultra variant, further differentiating the two models in terms of design.

Technical specifications and release

Beyond aesthetics, the recently emerged information clearly outlines the hardware setup of the new series. Both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the larger Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra should be equipped with the SoC MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a choice aimed at ensuring top-level performance for productivity and entertainment.

On the battery front, the details indicate that the Ultra model will maintain the same capacity as the current Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, suggesting a conservative approach.

Regarding timing, the testing and certification phase seems well underway, confirming the initial forecasts: the official launch of the new tablets is expected in September.
