About two months after the launch of the budget model Pad X8b, the Chinese company returns with a new tablet aimed at the Italian market. It is the Honor Pad X9 Max, a mid-range device characterized by an extra-large display with a paper-like texture, a battery over 10,100 mAh and a PC-style file management experience.
In terms of design and specifications, we are dealing with a solid tablet: the device is built with a unibody aluminum design, with a brushed surface that offers a refined and premium texture. The chassis weighs 618 grams and is equipped with a slim profile up to 6.72 mm, alongside a capacious 10,100 mAh battery (with 45W SuperCharge).
The highlight of the Honor Pad X9 Max is certainly the display: although it is a LCD panel, we have a large surface with IMAX Enhanced certification, a 13″ diagonal and a 2.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 1.07 billion colors and brightness up to 700 nits.
The screen is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light emission and flicker-free operation: the DC Dimming and Dynamic Dimming features, as well as the paper effect, offer continuous visual comfort.
The tablet is equipped with four speakers with Hi-Res Audio and DTS:X, for a 360-degree immersive experience. Under the shell beats a Qualcomm heart, with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 while the software is MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. The device includes several AI-powered features useful for productivity (such as AI Memo); furthermore, the file management provides a PC-like experience with a familiar interface.
The new Honor Pad X9 Max has been announced for various European markets and has also appeared in the official Italian store. The device will be available soon only in the 4/128 GB configuration, with a Gray chassis. At the moment the store does not list the price, so we will have to wait until sales begin (they do not yet have a date).
In the United Kingdom store prices start from £349.99, about €410 at current exchange rates; however, this is an indicative figure and it’s certainly better to wait for an official announcement from Honor.
