Pixel Watch 5: How much will it cost? Leaked European prices and a new color option

The wait for Google’s next big event, Google, scheduled for August 12, is growing with very interesting details. Alongside the introduction of the new Pixel 11 smartphone lineup, the Mountain View company is preparing to reveal to the public the evolution of its wearable devices line with the Pixel Watch 5.

In the last hours, several rumors from sources historically reliable have revealed not only the pricing structure for the European market, but also the color and finish variants that will characterize the new generation of smartwatches.

The device will be offered in the now canonical two case sizes, 41 mm and 45 mm, each available in both Wi-Fi-only configuration and with LTE connectivity. The novelty lies in the 14 total combinations possible offered by Google.

The smaller 41 mm model will benefit from four options: Dark Anthracite and the new Pyrite, both characterized by a satin and matte finish, paired with the glossy Natural Silver and Warm Gold.

The Pyrite colorway represents an interesting novelty, as it introduces a second shade of gold that will accompany the traditional one.

For the larger 45 mm version, the choice will be limited to three options, excluding Warm Gold but keeping the Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver and the same Pyrite variants.

The evolution of European price lists

A central chapter of the recent leaks concerns the economic aspect, which highlights a slight uptick compared to the previous generation.

The 41-millimeter entry model with Wi-Fi connectivity should be marketed at a starting price of 419 euros, recording an increase of 20 euros compared to the previous model. For those needing independent connectivity, the 41 mm LTE version will reach 519 euros.

Going up in size, the 45 mm Pixel Watch 5 will require paying 449 euros for its Wi-Fi variant, while the LTE-enabled variant will reach 549 euros.

Specifications almost confirmed

Beyond aesthetics and costs, the details from FCC filings and other curious rumors offer a glimpse into the watch’s potential.

We will find Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology for precise device localization and support for NTN satellite bands 23 and 255, useful for emergency communications in the absence of cellular signal.

Although these features echo what has already been seen on past models, the real novelty might be the presence of the new processor Snapdragon Wear Elite, a component that promises significant improvements in efficiency and smoothness of use, awaiting official confirmation on Google’s stage.
