Rumors have circulated for some time about the expansion plans of Samsung’s flagship smartphone line. Now the whispers have found concrete confirmation.
Next year we will witness the launch of no less than four devices belonging to the Galaxy S27 family, introducing a completely new variant.
Alongside the natural successors of the previous models, namely the base version, the Plus variant and the Ultra edition, there will officially also be Galaxy S27 Pro.
A recent discovery within the GSMA database archives allowed identifying three devices not yet announced, currently in full development.
Documents emerging from international certification platforms clearly indicate the product identification codes. Specifically, the model registered with code SM-S956U corresponds to the Plus variant, while the code SM-S958U refers to the powerful Ultra version. The real surprise lies in the code SM-S957B/DS, which is explicitly associated with the Galaxy S27 Pro, the unannounced name of the fourth phone in the lineup.
These valuable pieces of information add to a previous sighting, where the code SM-S952U had been directly linked to the standard edition of the series. This wealth of data certifies the manufacturer’s intention to unveil the quartet at the beginning of next year, which could be followed by a fifth model identified by the code FE, whose global release is expected for the final months of 2027.
Regarding the technical specifications, the leaked information paints a very clear picture of the newcomer’s potential. The brand’s intention seems to be to offer a user experience similar to that of the Ultra, but packed into dimensions more easily manageable with one hand.
The device should indeed boast a Dynamic AMOLED 2x display of 6.5 inches, ensuring superior ergonomics without sacrificing visual quality in any way. To maintain this profile more compact and slim, the company would have decided to do away with integrating the S Pen inside the chassis, an engineering and design choice that clearly differentiates this version from the massive Ultra edition.
The camera system is expected to be extremely sophisticated and capable of capturing images of the highest quality. On the front will be space for a 12 MP sensor dedicated to selfies and video calls.
The massive rear module will be dominated by a main sensor of a whopping 200 MP. This camera will be accompanied by an ultrawide lens with a 50 MP sensor, equipped with an autofocus system, and a telephoto lens, also 50 MP, capable of offering an optical zoom of 3.5x for portraits and flawless close-up shots.
Under the glass panel, the computing system will be represented by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy, specially optimized for the manufacturer’s ecosystem. This chip will work in close synergy with a RAM RAM starting from 12 GB.
The internal storage space sfrutterà moduli di memoria di tipo UFS 5.0 starting from 256 GB, ensuring blazing data transfer speeds for saving large files and installing applications.
Finally, the autonomy will be entrusted to a 5,000 mAh battery, which will support fast charging at at least 45 W.
