The latest rumors about the Galaxy lineup have been dominated by the upcoming foldables, and we were almost about to forget the existence of another ‘flagship’ model. The budget flagship of this generation, Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, is on track to arrive, and as proof of that here it pops up on Geekbench, taking on the first benchmarks. The results are only numbers, but behind them lie the details on the specifications!
The new device in the family appeared on Geekbench with the code SM-S741U, with 8 GB of RAM and Android 17 on the software side. Analyzing the benchmarks, the presence of the Exynos 2500 chipset emerged, a familiar name for Samsung enthusiasts, already seen on board the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Unfortunately nothing else is revealed and most of the device’s characteristics remain shrouded in mystery. Still, given the brand’s conservative approach, it’s likely there won’t be radical changes, but some targeted improvements.
Our hypothesis is that Samsung may finally upgrade the cameras since the S25 FE features the same setup as its predecessor. Perhaps it could upgrade the telephoto lens with a 10 MP sensor, in line with the S26, compared to the current 8 MP.
The summer months are certainly devoted to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, so it’s likely that the new budget flagship will arrive shortly after. The current device was launched in September, a release window that could also apply to Samsung Galaxy S26 FE.
