The mid-year flagship tradition continues for the Gaming Phone maker as well. REDMAGIC 11S Pro has been certified by NBTC, a sign that the launch is imminent. The Chinese company has always offered two options for each generation, and this latest one will be no exception. Here’s what we can expect from the new smartphone, based on what has happened so far.
First of all, we note that REDMAGIC 11S Pro appears with the designation NX809J, which is misleading. It is, in fact, the same model number as the current REDMAGIC 11 Pro; however it is the NBTC certification itself that clarifies the phone’s identity, bearing the commercial name.
There are neither images nor details on the specifications, so for now we have to rely on experience. Looking at the previous 10 Pro and 10S Pro, it is not out of the question that the company could apply the same approach.
Consequently we can expect a new version of the proprietary REDMAGIC chip dedicated to managing gaming-related features. The Red Core R4 Pro solution, still unreleased, should improve the gaming experience also thanks to AI support.
The other addition can only be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Edition, that is the alternate version of the latest flagship SoC based on the For Galaxy variant seen aboard the Galaxy S26 family. Typically Qualcomm releases its boosted top-end chipset in collaboration with Samsung, before subsequently presenting the Leading edition (for all other manufacturers).
The rest of the features and the design should not change: clearly we are basing it on the strategy REDMAGIC has adopted so far, but nothing prevents the next 11S Pro from having more pronounced differences in its favor. In that case, we will update you with all the news.
