In the vibrant Brera-Garibaldi district, Milano Design Week welcomes an exhibition that explores the very concept of dwelling. At the historic store Rossignoli on Corso Garibaldi 71, Midea presents an interactive space that invites visitors to discover how innovation intertwines with daily life.
Through sophisticated video mapping systems, accompanied by precise light and sound cues, the walls and volumes of the installation constantly change before the audience’s eyes, transforming an environment initially neutral into a living and welcoming home.
The exhibition route places particular emphasis on the kitchen, interpreted as a central element of domestic activities. Midea showcases solutions that balance aesthetics and efficiency, starting with refrigeration systems.
The built-in combo model from the Eleva Series, capable of offering a capacity of 267 liters and equipped with Metal Cooling technology to keep food fresh, and the majestic four-door refrigerator from the INSTA-FIT Master family.
The latter, thanks to special hinges that require only 4 millimeters of lateral space for opening, fits millimeter-perfectly into modern furniture with its 600 mm of depth, offering advanced features such as sterilization with intense pulsed light.
An additional model designed for maximum quiet is paired with these, keeping sound emissions to just 29 dB and leveraging smart features to optimize energy consumption in Energy efficiency class A.
Regarding cooking, the built-in range offers versatile ovens with a capacity of up to 72 litres, able to reach 280°C for a three-dimensional distribution of heat, equipped with convenient hydrolytic steam cleaning systems. They are complemented by 34-litre microwave ovens or by models with specific functions such as Air Fry.
The aesthetic integration continues with cooktops, including induction solutions with an integrated range hood to keep the space visually minimalist, and gas models with powerful 4 kW side burners in elegant black crystal. To complete the dishwashing cycle, a dishwasher equipped with an inverter motor and antibacterial technology ensures high-pressure, targeted washes.
The exploration continues in the laundry area, a space that requires ever greater design coherence. Here, devices communicate in a harmonious ecosystem.
A particular A-class washing machine equipped with three independent drums: one main drum of 10 kg and two auxiliary drums of 0.5 kg each. This architecture is designed to handle simultaneous loads while maintaining a standard height of 850 mm and ensuring strictly separated water circuits.
Thermal comfort and air treatment are instead entrusted to compact heat pump systems and air conditioners, essential to guarantee ideal temperatures in every season.
To enrich the range designed for everyday practicality, there are also highly functional small appliances, such as the air fryer with a dual display capable of autonomously setting the optimal cooking times, and a fan designed to maximize airflow while emitting only 19 dB, ensuring relief without disturbing the quiet of the home.
The installation is not limited to pure technological exposition, but becomes a real stage for meetings. During the Fuorisalone days, the Corso Garibaldi location will be animated by a rich calendar of events designed to engage the public and industry professionals.
Among the entertainment highlights is the chef Max Mariola, the brand’s local ambassador, who will delight attendees with his show cooking sessions.
The space will also host the creative format of Turbo Paolo, dedicated to the union of food preparation and show, the experiential challenges led by the creator Samuele Virzì and the lively initiatives designed for the city community in collaboration with Milano da Scrocco, making the exhibition an unmissable highlight of Milan’s week.
