After weeks of rumors, leaked images and unofficial previews, the highly anticipated moment for fans of compact-sized smartphones has finally arrived.
OnePlus has officially announced the debut of its new compact flagship, ending the speculation.
On March 24 the Chinese market will witness the official unveiling of the new OnePlus 15T, a device that promises to combine excellent ergonomics and top-tier performance.
The choice to target a more manageable form factor represents an interesting move, considering that high-end compact Android devices today constitute a true rarity.
Far from being a mere diminished version of the larger models, this new smartphone will come with top-of-the-line technical specifications. The front panel will host a 6.32-inch display, a size that ensures a secure and comfortable grip, directly competing with the dimensions of the base variant of the Galaxy S26.
Despite the reduced diagonal, visual quality does not suffer any compromises. The display should indeed have a 165 Hz refresh rate, ensuring exceptional fluidity during browsing and daily use.
All of this is framed by thin and perfectly symmetrical bezels, features that maximize the display area and give the device a modern and elegant aesthetic, in total visual continuity with its bigger brother, the OnePlus 15.
Inside the chassis, the device hides formidable computing power, guaranteed by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 by Qualcomm.
Traditionally, making small phones involves significant sacrifices on the battery life front, due to the limited physical space available for energy cells. However, the manufacturer has managed the remarkable feat of integrating a 7,500 mAh battery, an impressive capacity that easily surpasses rival offerings and even the standard OnePlus 15 model.
To accompany this monumental energy reserve, we find the 100 W wired fast charging and the eagerly awaited support for wireless charging, which stands at an excellent 50 W.
On the photographic side, the company has made very precise selections to optimize the internal hardware. To maintain a compact profile, the ultra-wide lens has been sacrificed. In return, the rear camera module is enriched with an improved telephoto lens, capable of extending to an optical zoom of 3.5x, thus offering high-quality zoomed shots.
At the moment, more detailed commercial information and the official list price remain shrouded in secrecy. Nevertheless, considering the notable hardware updates, it seems almost certain that the final price will rise compared to previous generations.
