Honor Magic 9 will be a Camera Phone in miniature, with extra-large battery

The next generation flagship is still far away, and yet the first rumors have started to surface. So far the leaks have focused more on the Pro brother, but now it’s time to discover some details about Honor Magic 9 standard. The little one of the series has always been excluded from Global markets: a real shame, especially for what awaits with the next generation.

The next Honor flagship should change things compared to the current Magic 8, moving from a 6.58″ display to a more compact OLED Flat solution, with 6.36″ diagonal. Despite the reduced size, the phone should integrate an extra-large battery of as much as 8,000 mAh.

If confirmed, it would be the smartphone with the most capacious battery in the “mini” category. Soon the OnePlus 15T will be announced but according to rumors so far there would be an unit of about 7,500 mAh, with a similar panel (6.31″)

However the small Magic 9 should also have ambitions as a Camera Phone: the OnePlus model will rely on a dual-camera with ultra-wide while for the rumors about the future Honor look to a triple-sensor setup, with a telephoto periscope. Certainly not hard to believe, given the setup offered by Magic 8 base.

The latest rumors from insider Digital Chat Station talk of a main sensor of 200 MP (with a size of 1/1.28″), together with a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 64 MP periscope telephoto (1/2″).

There is still quite a long way to go until debut

In short, once again we should have proof that a compact flagship is not synonymous with less power. Among other features there would also be the return of wireless charging and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
