Just one day before the debut, scheduled for May 29, the Chinese company unveiled its first over-ear headphones. The new vivo Over-Ear Noise-Canceling Headphones are shown for the first time, and while we await the presentation event, there’s already an overview of what to expect. Fingers crossed and we hope this novelty also arrives here!
The Chinese company is not only smartphones and tablets, but also has various wearable accessories. However, this is the first time a pair of over-ear headphones is presented, and for the occasion the brand wanted to go big. The aesthetics are simple and refined, without sacrificing a touch of color: the violet shade is delicate and fashionable, while the white/gray version is a neutral, sober yet classy choice.
The minimalist and extremely clean design is characterized by soft lines and rectangular ear cups, with strongly chamfered corners. The matte build is free of superfluous elements, except for the brand logo, for a modern and elegant look.
The top band integrates smoothly with the ear cup supports, suggesting excellent ergonomics — confirmed by a weight of only 238 grams.
The cushions appear dense and enveloping, designed to ensure optimal passive isolation, while the physical controls and charging ports are elegantly tucked along the lower profile of the right ear cup.
As the name suggests, the vivo Over-Ear Noise-Canceling Headphones are equipped with active noise cancellation up to 58 dB. On the roster are 40 mm dynamic drivers, the Hi-Res Audio Gold Label certification and a solid autonomy, up to 75 hours of use — according to the company.
As teased at the opening, the presentation is set for May 29 in China, together with the vivo S60 series. The latter also holds particular importance for the Global market, as it should serve as the base for our V80.
